Have been obsessing over Superstar’s soundtrack lately? Well, you’re not the only one! The Bilal Ashraf and Mahira Khan starrer have been making waves with its music for quite a while now and all the credits go to Azaan Sami Khan for putting out exactly what the audience likes. However, it is not just the music director who needs to be credited. Both of the lead stars have contributed majorly to making the song look extremely aesthetically pleasing. And while we can’t stop obsessing over Noori and other Mahira songs, the case in point is Bilal’s Dharak Bharak.

Let’s face it, the first time we watched the song, it gave off major Ram Leela-Ranveer Singh-Esque vibes with the whole shirtless show. And now the actor has finally admitted that yep, that is exactly what they were aiming for with the song. In a conversation with the Express Tribune, the actor revealed how the comparison with Ranveer Singh made him happy.

“Oh 2000%! It was definitely inspired by him. It is basically inspired by all the songs like Tattad Tattad. When I read the comparison with Ranveer, I was like ‘brilliant!’. I was hoping to portray that and I think it was conveyed in the same manner. I’m not playing Sameer Khan in that song. The song was supposed to be as outrageous as Malhari or any other Ranveer song.”

While the actor talked about how they were aiming to make it flashy and all kinds of pretentious, he also revealed how much he struggled to get into that particular physique required for the song. In fact, it took him about a year to sport those rock-hard abs of steel that fangirls are lusting over everywhere!

“It took me a year to make that physique. I wanted my fans to get a message on how you should work tirelessly at the gym, rather than consuming steroids. After Dharak Bharak, people on the streets have started looking at me very differently.”

Well, we have definitely started seeing him in a new light after the song! But what do you think about his epic transformation? Let us know in the comments!

And if you haven’t seen the video yet, now’s the perfect time to feast your eyes!
