Rajkummar Rao is out to prove his versatility once again with his latest venture, Judgementall Hai Kya! Having starred in films like Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana (2017), Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019), the store knows he has it in himself to lead with some of the biggest actresses of B-Town, which now includes Ms. Kangana Ranaut. With Ekta Kapoor and Prakash Kovelamudi at the helm, the film promises to be an enthralling ride but we gotta know what Rao has to say about his character, which looks quite engaging from the posters of the film.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, the star opened up about the challenges he faced while filming.
“It was fun to do a character like this, though a lot of challenges were involved in filming it. I think it’s fun to portray a character when you have in mind how you will do it and trust me I had this thought every day on the sets of the film. It’s pretty tough as I have never done a character like this, so I pushed my limits and accepted each challenge of portraying the character. I was enjoying every bit of a mad and funny character like this.”
Judging from the trailer of the film, it is packed with gut-busting scenes that are sure to make us laugh, but on the same note, the story has a puzzling side to it that makes it all the more mysterious. The movie showcases the lives of two quirky people whose lives are entwined in a mystery, as they each try to prove their innocence regarding the situation. But in attempts to prove their innocence, each tries to portray the other as guilty, and all the twists and turns keep us hooked to know what’s next.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the two actors are sharing screen space. The two had previously been seen sharing screen time in Queen (2013) which depicted a story revolving around a 24-year-old girl, Rani, played by Ranaut who decides to go on her honeymoon alone after her fiancé, Vijay, played by Rao, calls off the wedding, travels to Europe and enjoy some the new found freedom. Has to be one of our favorite flicks of all time, and if this new one is anything like that, we are surely in for a treat!
