Katrina Kaif is way ahead of her game in every aspect, and the whole world knows it. The sultry Bollywood actress can dance better than anyone we know, and has also improved her acting chops majorly! Plus, her star quality is what makes her so lovable, and entices everyone to want to know her a little better. Which is why her recent interview with Filmfare probed into all the deepest parts of her life, and explored questions we all wanted the answers to. And don’t fret, as we’ve got the lowdown on it all!
Evidently, a lot of actresses are now finding it easy to open up about their struggles with mental health, as the awareness for the issue is at its peak. And when Katrina was asked about it, she didn’t hesitate in being vocal about it for her readers.
“Everyone has their own battles and their own way to overcome them.”
The actress also addressed how other actresses have been dealing with it, and also revealed her own struggle with anxiety and other mental illnesses.
“Like Alia (Bhatt) has spoken about the anxiety she faces at times and said that it’s okay to not be okay. This is an important statement. Deepika (Padukone) has spoken about her battle with depression and how she reached out to certain people, who helped her. In my case, books and other things helped me understand not to be a slave to every thought that comes to your mind or every emotion you feel.”
Moreover, Katrina’s ways of coping could help many, and her words clearly resonated with people who are constantly looking for ways to cope.
“You don’t need to crumble under the pressure. This complex crazy Universe is not running because of you and me. It’s running on its own. Have faith in it. Whoever is running this Universe has got your back. Put out what you want. Discard any thought that’s not constructive.”
That is some solid advice, though we can’t ignore the fact that it isn’t always easy for everyone to cope. But nevertheless, kudos to Katrina for opening up and giving everyone a glimpse of her mind!
