Recently bagging the title of Beauty Of The Year given by People magazine, one would expect Priyanka Chopra to be over the moon. However that may be the case, the global superstar still has a distinct take on what beauty means to her. According to Chopra, the world we live in currently has unrealistic standards of beauty, which has been our own doing.
The actress mentioned the time she started working in the industry and reminisced over how much things had changed now. She disclosed how much work and effort goes into making pictures of celebrities look effortless, and under false pretenses.
“I think I realised what all it takes to actually look the way we do on magazine covers and the work we do. That’s when I realised looks aren’t everything. Instead, it’s the confidence with which you walk into a room; it’s the ability to do your job to the best of your capabilities.”
She further put emphasis on the need for skincare, and how moisturizing and hydration have been a gamechanger for her. Plus, the actress knows how essential water is. PREACH, GIRL!
“The way that I take care of my skin is to make sure to moisturise every day. I take off all my make-up before I go to bed. It doesn’t have to be really difficult. I think hydration is extremely important… drinking as much water as you can. Water is truly the elixir of life.”
Moreover, her plans for the future are pretty interesting, to say the least. In simple terms, Chopra wishes to be an “extremely glamorous old lady, who will always have an opinion on everyone.” We can already picture it!
“I’ll be super fun and yeah, (mine) will be the house everyone will want to come to.”
We don’t know about others, but we surely want in!
