To keep you updated and part of the buzz, here’s a list of all the movies to watch before the Award Season begins:

1. The Favourite

The movie stars Olivia Coleman, Emma Stone, and Rachel Weisz. It’s about a Queen named Anne, who alongside, two women fighting for her emotional, sexual and financial attention. The Favourite is a raucous, funny and surprising historical drama.

2. Vice

It stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carell, and Sam Rockwell. Vice is about the Former vice president Dick Cheney and his divisive ascent up the political ladder. It’s also eerily similar in style to director Adam McKay’s previous film The Big Short.

3. First Man

The movie stars Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler. It’s about the life and times of astronaut Neil Armstrong, and his mission to become the first man on the moon.

4. A Star is Born

This movie stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. It is a remake of the tear-jerking musical love story about a washed-up rock star who takes a shine to a small-town waitress with a big voice.

5. Roma

This movie stars Yalitza Aparicio, Nancy García García, and Marina de Tavira. It is an ambitious Spanish film about a nanny and housekeeper who looks after a middle-class family in Mexico City in the early 1970s.

6. If Beale Street Could Talk

This movie stars Kiki Lane, Regina King, and Stephen James. It is a James Baldwin’s heart-achingly poignant novel released on screen. If Beale Street Could Talk is about a  young black couple desperately in love and expecting a baby is split when the man is falsely accused of rape.
