2018 was a great year for Bollywood in terms of movies. From Padmavat to Sanju, the blockbuster was broken time and again.

Well, the movies do not end with the year. The coming year, 2019, is bringing many more films our way which, we’re pretty sure will entertain us to the fullest. The most anticipated Bollywood movies in 2019 are:

1. Uri: The Surgical Strike

Uri: The Surgical Strike is an upcoming 2019 Indian action film written and directed by debutant Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his banner RSVP Movies. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, and Yami Gautam, the film is based on the 2016 Indian Army’s surgical strikes on Pakistan as a retaliation for the Uri attack. It is set for a theatrical release on 11 January 2019.

2. Brahmastra

Brahmastra is an upcoming 2019 Indian Hindi-language fantasy film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. It will star Amitabh Bachan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Dimple Kapadia, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Divyendu Sharma, and Mouni Roy in lead roles.

No official poster has been released as of yet, however, the following was released by Dharma Productions.

3. Super 30

Super 30 is an upcoming Indian drama film co-produced and directed by Vikas Bahl, based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational program Super 30. The film stars Hrithik Roshan as Kumar and Mrunal Thakur. The soundtrack is composed by Ajay-Atul and movie is co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

4. Bharat

Bharat is an upcoming Indian Hindi drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nikhil Namit, and Salman Khan. The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Tabu, and Disha Patani. Principal photography began in June 2018 and Bharat is scheduled for a theatrical release on 5th June Eid 2019.

5. Kalank

Kalank is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Fix Star Studios. It stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kunal Khemu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.
