Pakistan’s former Cricket Captain, Wasim Akram is one of the biggest superstars of world cricket. Over the years he has entertained spectators with his blazing style of bowling. Now he has taken up the role as a philanthropist, running his charity organization named The Akram Foundation (TAF).
He has been raised funds for his organization by arranging a T10 charity match on 7th October at Faisalabad. This event has been organized by The Akram Foundation in collaboration with FS Entertainment.
The match was expected to have many great cricketers in action, such as Wasim Akram himself, Shoaib Akhtar, Misbah-ul-Haq, Saeed Ajmal and Umar Akmal. Several personalities from the showbiz sector of Pakistan had also graced the event with their presence. Salman Saeed, Imran Ashraf, Tipu Shah, Ayaz Samoo, Mohsin Abbas Haider, Agha Shiraz, Hasan Niazi, Noman Habib and many more were there for a noble cause.
Champion Wasim Akram had performed along with a host of cricketing stars in a Ten over Cricket match. He was leading a team with a slogan ‘Sultan of Swing’ whereas Shoaib Akhtar was leading ‘Rawalpindi Express.’
It was a good initiative for a noble cause. Although The Akram Foundation arranges such events to raise funds for the well being, health and education of the underprivileged people.
We wish him the best of luck for more projects!
