The 2019 World Cup Trophy arrived in Lahore on Wednesday as part of its world tour.
Pakistani Fast-bowler Mohammad Irfan had the honor of traveling with the trophy across the city of Lahore. Even more, he expressed his desire to represent Pakistan at the World Cup and help them win the mega event.
Irfan is glad to be a part of this memorable moment. “Pakistan has a nice bunch of players and they will give their all to ensure that the team ends up winning the elusive trophy.”
He added: “I have racked up good performances in, both, domestic cricket and leagues all over the world. And if the selectors give me the opportunity to represent Pakistan at the World Cup, I will try not to disappoint.”
The trophy will be displayed for the public at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today.
The trophy will then travel to Islamabad from October 6 to 8 and then Karachi from October 9 to 13.
